Parent Observation
We do offer a waiting area at the gym for your convenience. Parents may not sit in the gym area while their child is in class. This policy enables our staff to retain their students' full attention, making sure they receive a quality class, each class. A child's contact (even eye contact) with their parents can be very limiting to their class progress, and in some cases, could become a safety hazard due to a lack of concentration from the child. Any time you would like to understand and/or discuss what your child is working on in class, please ask their instructor(s.) Our staff is always willing to assist our valued customers in any way we can.
Schedule Changes and Gym Closings
We do not adhere to all school closings. Notification of scheduled closings are noted in the monthly newsletters and/or are noted on our yearly calendar. In the case of inclement weather, please call the gym for updates.
Make-Up Classes
We schedule make up classes twice a month on Saturday mornings. You must call ahead to schedule a make up class. All missed classes during the months of August-December must be made up by the end of December. All missed classes during the months of January-May must be made up by the end of May. All classes missed during our summer session must be made up by the end of our scheduled
summer session.
Withdrawals
If you register for classes that are held during the school year, your child's name will be on the class roll until the end of May. If you register for classes in the summer, your child's name will be kept on the roll until the end of our summer session. Should you choose to withdraw your child from our program, a 30-day written notice is required. If notice is not received in writing, you will be responsible for the payment of the next month's class fee(s.)
Lost and Found
Articles left in the gym are placed in our lost and found. If your child is missing any item(s,) please notify our office staff. We will gladly direct you to the gym lost and found. Douglasville Gymnastics is not responsible for anything lost or left in the facility. From time to time, we donate all 'missing' items to charity.
